It's heating up here in Minneapolis and we’re gearing up for a fun, busy summer. Kids are officially on summer break and jumping off the walls. We've been visiting as many art fairs as we can squeeze into each weekend, saying hello to our Latchet community members, and meeting lots of new great artists and makers we’re excited to bring onboard! Latchet is full of beautifully made things for good summer living; wanted to call out a few of the things we've been loving recently.

Say hello to Latchet, and good-bye to Lyric. We’ve loved the name Lyric since the start, but the name wasn’t quite working. Why? There are many, many things named “Lyric,” including companies, theaters, the list goes on. Googling “lyric” is much more likely to deliver you song lyrics than a community marketplace. “Lyric” also hints at music, and our business is focused on the tangible arts. We wanted a name that was grounded in artistry and connection. Something that evoked the power of artisan communities working together to lift each other up. Latchet is just that — it’s a kind of connection between two things, something that holds other things together. We love that energy. Latchet is a place where people come together to work together. Where community comes first. Where we support one another and build each other up. We're excited you're here.
